Ein Teil der Funktionalität der Core API Extension wurde in den Magento Core aufgenommen. So können seit Magento 1.7.0.0 Attribute, Attribut-Optionen sowie Attribute-Sets angelegt, editiert und miteinander verknüpft werden. Um ein konfigurierbares Produkt zu definieren ist es notwendig die einfachen Produkte einem konfigurierbarem Produkt zuzuordnen – hier für stellt die Core API Extension eine Methode zur Verfügung bei der sogar Labels und Aufpreise definiert werden können.

Die NETZKOLLEKTIV CoreApi Extension wird unter einer kommerziellen Lizenz verkauft.
- Der Lizenznehmer erhält das zeitlich unbegrenzte Nutzungsrecht des ihm zur Verfügung gestellten Codes.
- Je nach Lizenztyp darf die Extension in einer bestimmten oder unbestimmten Anzahl an Magento Commerce Installationen verwendet werden.
- Die Extension darf zur eigenen Verwendung beliebig modifiziert werden.
- Die Verbreitung der gesamten Extension oder Teilen davon ist untersagt.
- Die Lizenz schliesst 6 Monate kostenfreie Upgrades ab Kaufdatum ein.

Update
Parts of the functionality of our Core API Extension have been integrated in the Magento Core. As a result since Magento 1.7.0.0 it is natively possible to add, edit and link attributes, attribute options as well as attribute sets. Further information is available in the new Magento Core API documentation.

Adding a new attribute programatically to Magento is a easy as calling the method provided by our Core API Extension. Automatic imports of huge attribute sets using the method is easy to implement and less work than creating them manually. Creating attributes from other systems is also easy to achieve.

Every attribute must belong to one or more attribute sets to use it. A freshly created attribute first belongs to no set. Adding it to one or more attribute sets is simply done by calling the appropriate method. Just with a single call.
